Who We Are
Samaj Utthan Sewa Nepal (Community Uplift Nepal) is a registered non governmental and non profit organization established in 2012 to concentrate on the betterment of communities in rural Nepal. Nepal, a landlocked country in South Asia, is home to diverse communities, many of which live in poverty. Despite economic improvements in recent decades, poverty remains a significant issue, particularly in rural and marginalized areas. This situation analysis examines the key challenges faced by poor communities in Nepal and explores various socio-economic and environmental factors that contribute to their condition. The situation of poor communities in Nepal is shaped by a complex mix of economic, social, and environmental factors. While significant progress has been made in reducing poverty and improving living conditions, many challenges remain, particularly in rural and marginalized areas. Poor communities face difficulties in accessing basic services, education, healthcare, and sustainable livelihoods. Addressing these issues requires a concerted effort from the government, NGOs, and the international community to develop targeted, sustainable interventions that address the root causes of poverty.
